I personally really enjoy shooting film, it’s extremely fun for me and I’ve always preferred it to digital even though it’s a bit harder to do. Film has really forced me to become a better photographer and helped me learn so much about taking pictures because everything has to be setup manually. You have to have a very detailed understanding of how lighting works and how movement can affect your exposure in order to set the iso to the correct settings. Also, the effects you can get with a film camera are just absolutely beautiful. I personally find it much easier to shoot bokeh and get depth of field when shooting with film than with digital.
Film is an excellent choice for both photographers who are just starting out and the more experienced ones. It allows you to really feel involved in the process of taking and printing photos. Plus, because the technology is slightly older it is very inexpensive and it allows anyone to easily get their hands on it. And, it's extremely easy to feel connected with the photo making process because it's so hands on and let's you have something physical to give to others, rather than just a digital copy. So from a novice level to a professional one, film is always a good choice to get photos with.
